How to prepare
To get the most out of your session, it helps to come prepared both physically and mentally.
Here are a few simple tips:
Rest well – Aim for a good night’s sleep before your appointment so your body and mind are in the best state for healing.
Avoid alcohol – Please refrain from drinking alcohol the night before, as it can interfere with your body’s natural balance.
Eat beforehand – Have a light meal or snack before your session to keep your energy steady.
Stay hydrated – Bring a bottle of water with you; hydration supports the body’s energy flow.
Wear comfortable clothing – Shorts or loose pants are ideal, as some muscle testing may involve the lower limbs.
Honour your emotions – Pay attention to any feelings, thoughts, or sensations that arise in the lead-up to your appointment. These are all part of your healing journey. Don't be surprised if you feel a reluctance to go, the energy will already begin to shift prior to the appointment and emotions may come up that require clearing.
By taking these small steps, you’ll create the best conditions for your body and mind to fully benefit from your Kinesiology session.
Post appointment care
After your appointment, it’s important to give yourself space to rest and integrate the shifts that have taken place. Everyone responds differently — you may feel tired, teary, or emotional, or you may feel energised and uplifted. Both are completely normal. Try not to plan anything big afterwards so you can take it easy and allow your body and mind to process.
Sometimes memories, emotions, or insights may surface in the days following your session.
Trust that this is part of the process and give yourself time to gently move through it.
Most people find that within 2–3 days things begin to settle as the body rebalances and releases what is no longer needed.
